Today turned out to be much nicer. Still cold (40 degrees) and a little breezy, but dry and the sun was out. I took advantage of a slow schedule and did a nice loop the included Scenic, Red Bud, Westlake, and Toro Canyon.
A list of what I wore:
- midweight long-sleeved shirt
- long-sleeved winter jersey
- lightweight jacket
- bib shorts
- full leg warmers
- wool socks
- wool hat
- neck gaiter
- winter gloves
- shoe covers
I was comfortable (maybe a little overdressed for the climbs, but grateful for the jacket in the wind). It always surprises me when the water in my bottle is cold. I guess I'm just conditioned to expect lukewarm to hot water when I'm riding.
